Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamul Congress MP from Diamond Harbour and party's national general secretary came down heavily on the BJP-led Centre and said the proposed One Nation One Election Bill is unconstitutional and will take away the voting rights of the people.
Trinamul Congress MP from Diamond Harbour and party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has presented a well-knit plan to provide medical assistance to the people of his Lok Sabha constituency under Sebaashray scheme.
Abhishek Banerjee, the MP from Diamond Harbour and all India general secretary of the Trinamul Congress, strongly criticised the central government for delaying the approval of the Aparajita Bill, which seeks exemplary punishment for heinous crimes like the rape and murder of female doctor at R G Kar Hospital.
At the Diamond Harbour section in the South Division of Sealdah, train services were disrupted following rail-blockade agitation by the SUCI-C activists at a number of stations.
Trinamul Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee pledged to take stern action against party leaders and workers against whom complaints of muscle flexing and extortion are lodged.
Mr Banerjee distributed clothes among villagers in his constituency during the rally.
Besides CBI, Enforcement Directorate is also conducting a parallel probe in the coal smuggling case in West Bengal. Abhishek himself has faced questioning,
"Instead of incessantly writing to the PM, Mamata Banerjee must check on the parallel Govt being run from Diamond Harbour. After WB Health Dept ran down Abhishek’s claims, a daily update on his constituency is sent to media to highlight how poor Covid management in rest of WB is!" Mr Malviya tweeted today.
Abhishek accused the Election Commission of holding a two-phase election at the behest of BJP in Diamond Harbour and added that since TMC won all 31 seats in South 24 Parganas, elections are held in three phase to ebb their chances of winning, but he exuded confidence that his party will win the seats this time too.
He lashed out at the CM for allegedly “letting down the state” and “breaking the trust of the people.”
