This year’s exercise is set to take place at the East Fuji Manoeuvre Training Area in Japan from February 24 to March 9.
Twenty-five soldiers each from the Indian Army and Japanese Ground Self Defence Forces (JGSDF) will participate in the exercise with an aim to share experience gained during various counter-terrorism operations in respective countries, the Defence Ministry said on Saturday.
Both sides will jointly train, plan and execute a series of well-developed tactical drills for neutralization of likely threats that may be encountered in urban warfare scenario, said the statement.
