Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar today said India, which was earlier labelled as a nation of snake charmers, is now charming the globe for what it offers to everyone.
Addressing participants of the Rajya Sabha Internship Programme here, Dhankhar said, "A very auspicious sign, DevBhoomi Uttarakhand has made the Uniform Civil Code a reality."
Speaking candidly, Dhankhar declared, "No nation can endure the pressure of millions of illegal migrants. This issue not only strains our resources but also threatens our employment, healthcare, and education sectors. Resolving this growing menace cannot be delayed any further. National interests must always take precedence over political considerations."
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday said access to judiciary has been weaponized in recent years, posing a great challenge to governance.
Without naming Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, VP Dhankar said “The world laughs at us when a person in a Constitutional position engages in behaviour abroad that disregards their oath to the Constitution.”
The Vice-President's remarks were apparently directed at the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his endorsement of Hindenburg Research's baseless and malicious report and also questioning of the credentials of market regulator, Securities and Exchanges Board of India (SEBI).
Speaking at the 10th National Handloom Day event, Dhankar described economic nationalism as fundamental to "our spinal economic growth and economic independence".
Prior to walking out from the House, the Opposition MPs protested with incessant sloganeering and raised chants like ‘LoP ko bolne do’ (Let LoP speak).
Highlighting that challenge to the rule-based order is at peak at the moment, the VP described its resolution as unavoidable necessity.
