The road remained suspended due to severe waterlogging for six days as flood water was spilled all over the Ring Road in the backyard of Red Fort since July 13, as the Yamuna continued to flow above danger level.
The Central agencies are working on a war-footing together with Delhi government and MCD to clear the area of flood water from overflowing Yamuna.

The main concern of the people living in the affected districts is that once Yamuna floodwaters start receding snakes could creep into homes along the river bank.
