The electoral battle in Jangpura got a fillip with the AAP replacing its two-time MLA Praveen Kumar with former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, who was earlier representing the Patparganj assembly.
AAP national convener and New Delhi Assembly poll candidate Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday alleged that the BJP, if elected to power, would exploit and displace people living in Delhi's slums. He likened their intentions to "demons devouring the poor."
In a jolt to the ruling AAP ahead of Delhi polls, municipal councillors from Baprola, Ravindra Solanki and Manglapuri's Narendra Girsa joined the BJP on Friday.
Addressing a press conference here while launching BJP's Sankalp Patra Part - I for Delhi Assembly polls, Nadda said, "The points I am going to make today are going to lay the foundation of a developed Delhi. Today we will discuss those points on how to take forward a developed Delhi."
The first banner was raised by Sharmishtha Mukherji who criticised P Chidambaram for praising AAP after the Delhi polls.
The Aam Aadmi Party stormed to power after it grabbed 62 of the 70 seats, leaving just 8 for the BJP. The Congress was once again sent packing for a duck.
Ahead of the Assembly election, Javadekar had joined BJP MP Pravesh Verma in attacking Kejriwal reiterating the latter’s ‘terrorist’ remarks against the Chief Minister saying that 'he has proof of Kejriwal being a terrorist'.
Reiterating his stance on the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Amit Shah while speaking at the Times Now Summit challenged anyone who holds views against the Act to have a debate with him.
Arvind Kejriwal also invited the people of Delhi at his oath-taking ceremony at Ramlila Maidan.
