The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday issued notice to former chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal in the wake of complaints filed by the BJP and Congress over his remarks on “poisoning” of Delhi’s water supply.
“Kejriwal calls himself honest. The one who is dishonest gives himself such a certificate,” said the Congress leader during election rallies at West Vinod Nagar and Okhla for the assembly polls.
A delegation of the Delhi Congress’ Legal and Human Rights Department, led by advocate Sunil Kumar, submitted the complaint to the poll panel.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday vowed to eliminate Delhi’s sewer issues, and announced a comprehensive plan to overhaul the capital’s sewer lines in the coming five years if AAP is re-elected to power.
