The official stated that during preliminary interrogation, the accused — identified as Aqib (19) and Shariq (19), both residents of New Mustafabad — confessed to the crime.
After sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that the deceased was friends with the sister of the one of the accused.
The fire officials said that the blaze first erupted in a single vehicle and then spread into the nearby parked vehicles that include two wheelers, three wheelers and cars.
The arrest led to the confiscation of a total of 33 fake currency notes from their possession, officials said.
