The Delhi Metro customers will now be able to book their bike taxi rides from Delhi Metro’s official mobile app, DMRC Momentum (Delhi Sarthi 2.0) itself without the need to juggle between multiple apps.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday urged the public to choose public transport to reduce congestion and air pollution in the city.
Talking to The Statesman, an official from the DMRC said: "Services were delayed on the Delhi Metro's Yellow Line due to some technical issue which was developed in the train at Rajiv Chowk metro station."
"As a result, trains are running at restricted speed in this section resulting in bunching of trains," a DMRC spokesperson said here on Monday. However, normal train services are available on the rest of the section of Yellow Line.
The plea had stated that if the project is allowed to be executed, it would create havoc and result in the cutting of thousands of 50-70 years old trees. A bench of Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh on Monday said it found no sufficient ground to revive the disposed-off matter.
