DDMA will hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the present situation in wake of rising COVID-19 cases in the national capital.
They are available in all colours, and a massive trade survives on their sale. As heat waves blow through the city, masks remain in use, saving one from hot and dusty winds.
“Everything has been opened but only gyms are closed; have expenses to pay but no source of income,” said a protestor.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to be among those attending the DDMA meeting, to be chaired by Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal.
The DDMA has also ordered that students, teachers, and non-teaching staff members of schools living in containment zones will not be allowed to go to their schools.
An order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) today stated that such staff members of the Delhi government will be treated as being "on leave". The order is applicable in the case of teachers and frontline workers too.
This decision was taken on Wednesday at a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) held under the chairmanship of Lt-Governor Anil Baijal.
