Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav said on Saturday that the outcome of the Assembly elections was a clear indication that the people of the national capital have rejected former chief minister and AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of “lies and deceit”.
Yadav urged the AAP government and the LG to stop disseminating misleading information and take collective responsibility for the city's safety issues.
In his letter addressed to the LG, Yadav has pointed out that “despite significant water wastage, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and Delhi Police have not taken any action against the guilty.
Devender Yadav said, “Congress and INDIA bloc workers have been campaigning in complete coordination to reach out to people across Delhi with the party’s pledges.
The latest development came days after Arvinder Singh Lovely announced his resignation from the post of party’s Delhi unit chief.
Following the passing away of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on July 20, Delhi Congress chief's post has been lying vacant.
Maken had replaced Arvinder Singh Lovely as Delhi Congress chief in 2 March 2015.
"He has left and has informed Congress president Rahul Gandhi and me about his medical checkup. He will return on September 22," Chacko said.
