Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R Alice Vaz informed on Thursday that around 2.25 lakh forms have been received so far in the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) in the national capital.
Polling for all the seven parliamentary constituencies of Delhi was held on 25th May.
Emphasizing the importance of voting as a fundamental civic duty, Krishnamurthy called upon every voter to exercise his franchise and join in this grand celebration of democracy, irrespective of the weather conditions.
This initiative will carry on till May 24, marking the first time such a facility has been made available in the Lok Sabha polls.
Ranbir Singh said the main purpose of celebrating the day is to encourage, facilitate, and maximise voter registration and participation, particularly among first-time voters.
