Slamming the ruling AAP for the civic mess created by waterlogging the national capital following heavy downpour, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said on Friday that the first rain of the season thoroughly exposed the preparedness of its government for monsoon.
Sharpening his attack, Sachdeva alleged that the CM residence served as the epicentre for orchestrating corruption, due to which the development of Delhi is getting stalled.
The Delhi BJP chief also demanded the Delhi government to clarify who was responsible for the incident.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said the AAP is trying to gain sympathy for the jailed Delhi chief minister through the claim.
"If Kejriwal is in jail, then it is a matter of contemplation how WhatsApp messages will reach him, all this is just a campaign of the AAP to stay relevant in news," Sachdeva said.
The BJP leader further hit out at Kejriwal, alleging that for the last decade he and his party have been giving false hopes of development to the people of Delhi and have misled the city's residents.
The Delhi BJP president said that the people of Delhi are aware of the Kejriwal government's biased attitude towards the civic bodies which increased the problems.
Defending his actions, Tiwari stated that the Ministry in Health Administration (MHA) has already allowed the opening of stadiums without crowds.
The trouble started on Sunday afternoon when local BJP leader Kapil Mishra decided to hold a rally in favour of the law. At the rally, the BJP leader gave an “ultimatum” to the Delhi police to clear the roads at Chand Bagh and Jaffrabad or else, he said, they would have to hit the streets.
