According to CAQM, the city registered an AQI of 85, placing it in the satisfactory category— a significant improvement attributed to favorable meteorological conditions.
Delhi recorded its lowest Air Quality Index (AQI) of the year on Friday, with an average AQI of 121, according to the daily AQI Bulletin released by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), weather conditions are expected to remain similar over the next three days, with no significant changes in temperature.
The Average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital recorded below 300 mark on Monday, settling at 286, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has invoked Graded Response Action Plan's stage- II, while the Delhi government in line with commission's order has rolled out anti- pollution measures on Tuesday.
In the areas where the AQI is 'very poor' people might develop respiratory illness on prolonged exposure.
The data released by the pollution control agency was based on observations from 34 of the 40 monitoring stations across the city.
AQI in Delhi's Anand Vihar was recorded at 478 on Sunday morning.
All construction and demolition activities will be banned under the GRAP Stage III.
