In a letter, Kaneria's legal team wrote that the tainted leg-spinner has "suffered unimaginable and incomprehensible hardships, both professionally and personally" and "his sole source of income has vastly been affected".
Kaneria was banned for spot-fixing in 2012 while representing Essex. The leg-spinner had initially denied the charge but in 2018, he finally confessed.
During his recent visit to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Afridi had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of committing religious atrocities in India.
Kaneria was found to be guilty of spot-fixing alongside Mervyn Westfield while playing for English county Essex against Durham in 2009.
Danish Kaneria asked them after Indian duo had offered their help to Shahid Afridi Foundation in its fight against the COOVID-19 pandemic.
After Akhtar's claim in an interview on a television channel in December 2019, Kaneria, had confirmed the allegations.
Danish Kaneria, indicted in a spot-fixing case while playing county cricket in 2012, alleged that the bookmaker was known to the PCB officials.
On Thursday, former pacer Shoaib Akhtar had alleged that there were many who did not want Kaneria to be part of the Pakistan team because of his Hindu faith.
