According to the Lieutenant Governor's office, Saxena has approved and forwarded the proposal of Delhi Police to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for issuance of notification under Section 2 of the Union Territories (Laws) Act, 1950.
The court has to give its verdict on the role of the four surviving accused Posha, Bhikha, Vishwanath and Shyambabu. While Posha is still in jail, the rest are out on bail.
Police are also investigating whether Sharma and his other accomplices have any past criminal records.
