“Adivasis are in trouble in Deocha Pachami due to the coal project of the state government. They are losing their lands which are been taken away from them and putting their lives in peril. There is an apparent tribal uprising there where many are protesting against the government. We need to discuss how to gather more people and make them part of this protest towards saving the future of these tribals..."

CPI-M makes ‘fascist’ jibe at TMC

“A total subversion of democracy was observed in the municipalities which included damage of electronic voting machines, attack on candidates, intimidating voters etc. Bengal witnessed how democracy is being throttled in TMC’s quest of capturing municipalities since these are local bodies that will be used by the Trinamul to carry out corruption and smuggling. Ironically, on 27 February, Gujarat riots had broken out, unleashing genocide.”

CPM writes to Centre on Indian students’ safe passage

The CPM Politburo today issued a statement condemning the Russian military attacks against Ukraine. In an issued statement it has urged the Indian government to immediately take steps to ensure the safety of the thousands of Indian citizens, mainly students stranded in Ukraine and undertake measures to evacuate all Indian citizens.
