A total of 198 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 48 were reported from Karnataka, 40 from Maharashtra and 19 from West Bengal.
The total recovery stood at 4,44,87,992. The active cases in the country stands at 2,041.
As many as 605 new Covid cases were reported in the country during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The State’s share is 2.99% in the country’s confirmed virus caseload while the active cases are 0.77% of India’s total active cases.
The daily positivity rate was 0.11 per cent as the new COVID-19 cases were detected from 15,049 sample tests, it said.
The daily positivity rate on Monday was 1.07 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 0.70 per cent.
The State’s recovery rate currently stands at 99.28% while active cases (83) account for 0.06% of total positive cases registered in the State.
Delhi on Sunday recorded 1,485 fresh Covid cases in last 24 hours, recording a marginal decline against 1,520 cases reported the previous day, but there was no new death, the Health Department bulletin said.
