A total of 198 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 48 were reported from Karnataka, 40 from Maharashtra and 19 from West Bengal.
The total recovery stood at 4,44,87,992. The active cases in the country stands at 2,041.
As many as 605 new Covid cases were reported in the country during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The COVID-19 tally rose to 13,30,434, a bulletin issued by the department said, adding that Khurda district with 40 cases topped the daily Covid tally followed by Cuttack at 33.
With this, India’s active caseload now stands at 49,636 with active cases now constituting 0.11% of the country’s total positive cases.
