Since Saturday, 362 new COVID-19 cases have been reported from across the country, with two deaths - one each in Kerala and Karnataka.

Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
"For the airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2, we find that usually just a minor fraction of exhaled respiratory particles contains viruses. Most environments and contacts are under virus-limited conditions, wear face masks, including simple surgical masks, have a high efficacy in preventing the spread of Covid-19."
He informed that over 1,000 vaccination centres were set up, out of which 400 were for 18-44 age group and around 600 centers for 45 and above. All 400 centres are currently inoperational due to unavailability of jabs.
Earlier this month, the UAE's General Authority of Civil Aviation and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority said that the suspension of entry for travellers from India would be extended, Gulf News reported.
Some of the people in the negative group had common cold viruses, to make sure the dogs were able to distinguish Covid from other respiratory infections. The dogs were able to sniff out the disease even when it was caused by different variants.
More than 1.90 crore COVID Vaccine doses (1,90,20,313) are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
