Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
The chief minister is undergoing home isolation, a health department official told news agency PTI.
The decision to conduct the human clinical trials of the vaccine was taken after Dr Reddy's Laboratories got approval from the DCGI in this regard.
Since October 30, France has been placed again in nationwide confinement.
The other badly hit states are Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
