Jain said, “Delhi has seen a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in the past few days. Many more cases have come. Today it is going to be nearly 14,000. But Delhi is in a comfortable position in terms of hospital bed occupancy.”
With the addition of the new fatalities, the nationwide death toll has climbed to 4,73,537.
The Delhi government is fully prepared to prevent the spread of dengue. Full preparations for the treatment of dengue have already been made in all the hospitals of Delhi.
The Department has vaccinated 38,088 health care workers and 23,000 front line workers.
As per the Ministry’s data, 1,02,65,706 people have recovered so far and currently there are 1,92,308 active cases.
The recovery rate stands at 96.43 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.44 as per cent.
The country’s overall coronavirus caseload now stands at 1,02,66,674 with 2,57,656 active Covid-19 cases. The active Covid-19 cases comprises 2.51 per cent of the total caseload. The active caseload has remained below the three lakh mark for the tenth consecutive day.
The country’s total coronavirus case tally stood at 1,01,87,850, with 2,78,690 active Covid-19 cases. This is the second time in this week that the daily numbers reported has dropped below the 20,000 mark.India had reported 18,653 daily Covid-19 cases, the lowest on July 1.
The country’s total Covid-19 caseload stands at 1,00,75,116 with 2,92,518 active Covid-19 cases which constitute 2.90 per cent of the total cases.
