Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said despite challenges like Corona, record jobs were created in the country in the past four years or so, and the RBI report on creation of eight crore jobs in the last three to four years has shut the voice of people spreading false narratives on job creation.
Post reopening, restaurants complied with every safety regulation issued by the health ministry making dining out as safe and comfortable as possible.
One patient each died of Corona in Ajmer and Bikaner today taking the death toll due to the pandemic to 9,576 since March 2020 in the state.
The new variant BA.12 is 10 times more dangerous than BA.2 which was detected during the third wave of Corona in the country.
Noting that India has been able to deal with the situation better than many countries, Modi drew attention to the increase in the number of cases in some states in the last weeks. ''Increasing cases show that we need to stay alert,'' he added.
The police officers have been isolated and all of them have minor symptoms.
Detailing further, the minister said, “On the 14th of January, Delhi recorded approximately 24,383 positive cases, while on the 15th of January, Delhi recorded 20,178 new cases, and today, Delhi is expected to record 17,000 positive cases.”
Prime Minister Modi lauded the role of doctors, nurses and healthcare workers for vaccination drive. He also said that India's vaccination programme has added great strength to the fight against COVID-19.
He stated that the state government has imposed few restrictions to check the spread of the virus. The state government was well aware of the situation and was ready to meet any eventuality.
There is good news as reports of all the nine patients that were infected with the new and deadly corona variant that is said to have originated from South Africa Omicron that had been admitted to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences hospital in Jaipur came negative, after which all have been discharged.
