In response to the global and national presence of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV), the Mizoram government has formed a core committee on virus HMPV.

Comprising 15 members, including the chief minister and organisational secretary, the committee will address post-delimitation issues in preparation for the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections.
