In preparation for the Mahakumbh 2025, which is expected to draw over 25 crore devotees, a state-of-the-art control room is being constructed within the fair area to monitor and manage high-level meetings and coordinate the strategies for the event.
NDMC chairperson Amit Yadav said that 12 senior officers at the Head of Department level have been appointed as Nodal Officers to facilitate coordination among various NDMC departments and to liaise with external agencies such as the Delhi Police, Traffic Police, and CPWD from September 4-10.
Another pumping station is to be set up at Rishikesh Park. This would help in addressing issues of waterlogging in and around Thanthania.
Ministry of Labour and Employment has set up 20 Control Rooms for addressing issues of the labour/workers in the country in view of the lockdown.
The state committees will update the Central Control Room on a daily basis on the ground situation on the spread of the virus.
