Constitution Day, celebrated on November 26, holds immense significance in India and beyond not only because it marks the historical event of the adoption of the country’s Constitution but also because the text of the “highest law of the land” resonates with our quotidian aspiration and further encourages continuous negotiation in the public sphere for reshaping India’s governance framework.
Speaking at a function organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association to celebrate ‘Constitution Day’, the Chief Justice lauded the role played by the Bar in making the judiciary a robust institution.
The AAP on Tuesday celebrated its 13th foundation day with its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal highlighting the significance of the party's name and its symbol ‘jhadu’ (broom) as emblematic of its mission to serve and clean the system.

The President also released the digital version of Constituent Assembly debates, calligraphed copy of the Constitution of India and an updated version of the Constitution of India that includes all amendments till date. He also inaugurated ‘Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy.
The celebrations of the Day will begin with a speech by the President. After that, the whole nation can join him in reading the Preamble.
Dattatreya administered the oath of the Constitution to Raj Bhavan officials to mark the 71st anniversary of the Constitution Day.
On 19 November 2015, the Government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day by a gazette notification.
