Thugs of Hindostan not based on any novel or book asserts film’s director

Helmed by Yash Raj Films, 'Thugs of Hindostan' is considered to be one of the costliest productions with a budget of over Rs 300 crore.

This larger-than-life epic drama brings two legends of the Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, in the same film for the first time.

The motion poster showcases British actor Lloyd Owen as John Clive with an army in the backdrop ready to strike.

Giving out the charm of the medieval era, the film is based on Philip Meadow Taylor's 1983 novel, Confessions of a Thug.

Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
