Speaking virtually at the “Mystic South, Global Linkages Summit -- Towards a $1.5 Trillion Economy by 2025,” organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he said India is now at a decisive point in regaining its growth.
"The incentive scheme, especially for micro and small enterprises, named Banglashree Scheme, is indeed unique as compared to other states in India. Several new schemes, including subsidy even for expansion and renovation of existing plants and machineries, have been introduced," said the Chairman of the CII, North Bengal Zonal Council, Sanjit Saha.
"The decision to bring Siliguri under lockdown will not be effective if the administration keeps the market open for essential commodities at Naya Bazaar," a senior leader of the BJP, Sabita Agarwal, specifically pointed out today.
As per CII, enforcing contracts is a challenge due to insufficient commercial courts and infrastructure. It suggests major digital reforms such as virtual court proceedings, e-filing, and work from home to speed up court deliberations.
The Prime Minister said that the Coronavirus may have slowed the country down, but in reality, India has entered Unlock 1 and getting growth back has already started.
The telecom and information technology will be key to survival and revival of lives and economy, said the business leaders.
According to the CII Chairman, Sanjit Saha, almost everyone has expressed doubts on the implementation part.
