The National Capital's overall AQI clocked 434 on Monday as per the 4PM AQI bulletin provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which is an increase of 63 points from the AQI recorded yesterday (371), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change said.
Dust from the C&D activities is a major and consistent source of air pollution and contributes adversely to the spike in PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels in the NCR.
The plantation progress will be reviewed again by the Commission with the NCR States and NCTD in August.
The scope of this comprehensive plan by CAQM is to abate air pollution primarily in Delhi and NCR.
