Central agencies have been conducting continuous operations against the alleged coal scam in West Bengal.
Among those who were issued summons are IPS officers Gyanwant Singh, Koteswara Rao, S Selvamurugan, Shyam Singh, Rajeev Mishra, Sukesh Kumar Jain, and Tathagata Basu.
During a Press conference at BJP’s election office, he alleged, “West Bengal CM’s and state govt's involvement in the coal scam has been proved. The Central investigating agency has accessed tapes of conversations between an unknown individual and coal scam accused Anup Majhi’s righthand man Ganesh Bagaria, exposing the syndicate culture in Bengal government.”
Besides Jindal, the charges have been framed against Jindal Steel and Power Limited's former director Sushil Maroo, former deputy managing director Anand Goyal, chief executive officer Vikrant Gujral and the company's authorised signatory D N Abrol.
Around eight different charge sheets have been filed against HC Gupta and proceedings are going on individually.
