The petitioner advocate urged the top court to give direction to remove social media posts and videos that are derogatory and contemptuous towards the judiciary.
The Supreme Court will continue hearing a batch of petitions challenging the constitutional validity of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 on Thursday.
President Droupadi Murmu had, on April 5, gave her assent to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which was passed by the Lok Sabha on April 3, and the Rajya Sabha on April 4.
Withdrawing the judicial work from Justice Yashwant Verma, the CJI Khanna asked the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court not to assign him any judicial work for the time being.
