As the first train chugged out of Esplanade station at 7am today, the moment was historic and memorable in real terms for Dr Dipankar Bakhshi, who was witness to city Metro’s achievements for the second time.
According to the city Metro railway from that day, instead of 12, a total of 24 daily services would be operated between Joka and Taratala, Monday to Friday.
The Metro authorities are putting efforts to open the additional stretch for commercial services in the month of October.
