The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has allotted two seats to its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies, Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) and Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls on February 5.
The decision was taken unanimously at the party's National Executive meeting in Ranchi.
In a recent interview, Chirag Paswan discusses his admiration for Kangana Ranaut's unabashed honesty and outspoken demeanor.
Paswan, during his keynote address, highlighted the vital role of the food processing sector in reducing agricultural wastage, promoting value addition, ensuring food security, and strengthening the supply chain from farm to fork.
"It is not right to share the talks that took place with the BJP on a public platform but it is certain that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest the Lok Sabha election from Hajipur," Chirag Paswan said.
Amid speculation of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan joining the NDA, the latter on Sunday said that he will take a call regarding forming an alliance for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections after 2-3 more meetings with party leaders.
Sharad Yadav had formed Loktantrik Janata Dal in 2018 miffed with Janata Dal (United) returning to an alliance with the BJP in Bihar.
"Now, he is openly campaigning for the BJP which proves our claim," Singh said.
Reacting to the "Chirag model" used by JD-U national president Lalan Singh, Paswan said that the Chirag model is meant for the state's development.
