The Indian Air Force (IAF) inducted the first four of the 15 US-made Chinook helicopters into its fleet at a ceremony at the Indian Air Force station in Chandigarh on Monday, 25 March.
Currently, four pilots and four flight engineers have been training on Chinook choppers at Delaware in the US since Monday.
India is procuring 22 AH-64E Apache attack choppers and 15 CH-47F(I) Chinook heavy-lift helicopters from Boeing.
