The foundation stone was laid on 18 October 2021 at Army Goodwill School, Balapur in a colorful event and was dedicated to the people of Shopian by Lt Gen DP Pandey, GOC Chinar Corps.
The heli dropped task force operated in the snow-clad regions at heights over 9000 feet. The Heli Borne task force included troops from Infantry, Special Forces, and the MARCOS from the Indian Navy.
The courses featuring in the MoU include MA, MSc (Maths), MA (English), MA (Urdu), MA (Education) under 2 year courses and PG Diploma (Computer Applications).
The Core Group called for continued efforts along with the civil society to counter the separatist propaganda and break the cycle of violence for long term peace in Kashmir.
