The Punjab CM said the reduction is being done to make the functioning of the Commission cost effective. He said that the money thus saved will be utilised for the welfare of the people of state, adding that in the coming days more such decisions will be taken in larger public interest.
Accusing the previous Congress government for using the tribal people as a mere vote bank, Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress leaders did nothing for the development of these areas.
'Mamata and Abhishek, should stop playing with the lives of these job aspirants.' The CPM state secretary Md Salim said.
"If one state police take strict action against drug peddlers and those involved in illegal drug trafficking, then these drug dealers and peddlers shift to neighbouring states. The network of drug dealers is spread all over the country. This problem can be curbed if the law enforcement agencies of different states work untidily with mutual coordination,” the chief minister said.
The policy is a step forward for making land bank available for major urbanisation and industrialisation purposes. As the land owners will be partners in the development process, the policy aims at offering maximum benefit to them by linking the allotment of land with the cost of raw land.
