This year on 18 February, 7 males and 5 females were brought from South Africa to the KNP. The males have been named Vayu, Agni, Tejas, Suraj, Uday, Prabhas and Pavak.
This is the second batch of cheetahs brought to the park from Africa. With this the total number of cheetahs in the park has reached 20.
The big cats made their journey in Indian Air Force's C-17 Globemaster Cargo plane. From there they will be taken to their new home, 'The Kuno National Park' in the state,
