Considering the unprecedented footfall, dignitaries and state officials are requested to avoid visiting the dhams from 10 to 25 May for the sake of convenience, the state chief secretaries wrote to her counterparts in other states.
The State Tourism Department called it a sign of record breaking flow of pilgrims to the four shrines as the pilgrimage season is scheduled to start on May 10.
