Gandhi, during his recent visit to the US, stoked a controversy after he said the fight in India is about whether a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear his turban or go to a Gurdwara, in a veiled attack on the ruling BJP, which he has been accusing of doing “divisive” politics.
Reiterating his allegation against the former chief minister, the incumbent Punjab chief minister said the cricketer will now be given the job as per the rules.

In an ultimatum to the former CM, the Punjab chief minister asked his predecessor to confirm it with his family members, or he (Mann) will proves the allegation by bringing the complainant forward.

At least 16 former Congress MLAs, including former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, his deputy OP Soni and seven former ministers are currently facing disproportionate assets (DA) inquiry.
