According to AAP sources, apart from Kejriwal, no other Chief Minister of any state will be present in the swearing-in of Bhagwant Mann. Similarly, no Union Minister or any big leader of national level has been invited for this oath-taking ceremony.
In major embarrassment for the Congress, incumbent CM, Charanjit Singh Channi, lost both the Assembly seats, Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur, to little known AAP candidates by a margin of 7942 and 37,558 votes respectively.

The BSP president while expressing confidence that the SAD-BSP alliance would sweep the polls said “We all have to work unitedly to install Sukhbir Badal as the next chief minister of the state”.
The state government has already waived off loans of 5.63 lakh such farmers to the tune of Rs 4610 Crore.
Condemning the incident as “unfortunate and tragic”, the CM said forces inimical to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state would never succeed in their nefarious designs with a sole motive to destabilize the state.

On his maiden visit to the Punjabi University Patiala, the CM declared to take over the financial liability of the university to the tune of Rs 150 Crore and also announced the annual grant of Rs 240 Crore as part of the efforts to bailout the university from the fiscal mess.
Apart from Channi and Gandhi, Congress organization general secretary KC Venugopal, Punjab in-charge Harish Chaudhary were also present in this meeting.
