The entire gamut of municipal solid waste management has been seen from a cross-section of 10 different aspects that explains a sustainable value chain.
The CSE study has analysed the real-time data on source contribution done by the Decision Support System (DSS) for Air Quality Management of the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) in Pune.
"Governance and functioning-related data remain paper-bound: Information on functioning, actions were taken by a board against polluting industries, public hearing date on new projects, etc are rarely disclosed or remain difficult to access on the websites," CSE said in a release here.
