All the accused have been sent to CBI's custodial remand till May 14, the sources added.
On a request by the Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, who appeared for the CBI for an expeditious hearing of the matter by the high court, the bench in its order said, “Petitioner (CBI) would be at liberty to request HC for expeditious disposal which shall be considered by it on its merits”
The Manipur government and the Union Ministry of Home Affairs had transferred the case to the CBI for further investigation.

A source said this fact emerged during the investigation of another case after which the CBI lodged a fresh FIR.
