Of these, Gujarat reported 36 cases, Karnataka 34, Goa 14, Maharashtra nine, Kerala six, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu four each, and Telangana two.
With the addition of one more death due to the COVID-19, the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus now stands at 5,30,532 in the country.
Meanwhile, three districts- Rayagada, Dhenkanal and Malkangiri – turned Covid-free on Thursday with no active cases.
The COVID-19 tally rose to 13,36,195, a bulletin issued by the department said, adding that Sundargarh district with 11 cases topped the daily Covid tally.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.72% with 3345 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,26,36,710.
The death toll stood at 9,126 as no new fatality due to the infection was reported for more than one month. Besides, 53 other coronavirus patients have died due to comorbidities so far.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.72% with 2513 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,26,33,365.

Although overall health risk to the public remains low right now, according to CDC's Jennifer McQuiston, the cases present a community level spread in the US, CNBC reported.
