Of these, Gujarat reported 36 cases, Karnataka 34, Goa 14, Maharashtra nine, Kerala six, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu four each, and Telangana two.
With the addition of one more death due to the COVID-19, the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus now stands at 5,30,532 in the country.
Meanwhile, three districts- Rayagada, Dhenkanal and Malkangiri – turned Covid-free on Thursday with no active cases.
The COVID-19 tally rose to 13,36,195, a bulletin issued by the department said, adding that Sundargarh district with 11 cases topped the daily Covid tally.
The new COVID-19 cases were recorded at 0.59% Test Positivity Rate (TPR) in the last 24 hours while the cumulative tally went up to 12,89,259, said the health and family welfare department.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.58% with 10,917 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,27,72,398.
The death toll stood at 9,126 as no new fatality due to the infection was reported for more than one month. Besides, 53 other coronavirus patients have died due to comorbidities so far. The State has not recorded Covid fatality for almost two months.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.60% with 9862 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,27,25,055.
