AIIMS issues SOP for handling suspected monkeypox cases

Of these, Gujarat reported 36 cases, Karnataka 34, Goa 14, Maharashtra nine, Kerala six, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu four each, and Telangana two.
With the addition of one more death due to the COVID-19, the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus now stands at 5,30,532 in the country.
Meanwhile, three districts- Rayagada, Dhenkanal and Malkangiri – turned Covid-free on Thursday with no active cases.
The COVID-19 tally rose to 13,36,195, a bulletin issued by the department said, adding that Sundargarh district with 11 cases topped the daily Covid tally.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.51% with 15,899 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,29,37.876.
The latest rise in infection is the 2nd biggest spike in the last four months. On 4 July, the State had logged 346 Covid cases. On 22 February, the state had reported 428 cases.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.56% with 11,574 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,28,08,666.
The new COVID-19 cases were recorded at 0.67% Test Positivity Rate (TPR) in the last 24 hours while the cumulative tally went up to 12,89,328, said the health and family welfare department.
As per the data shared by the ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.57% with 15,208 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,27,87,606.
