The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports will be tabled on February 25, during the first session of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Delhi, as per a bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat.
The first agenda will be tabling the CAG report that are likely be presented on February 25 in the house.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday alleged that the AAP government misused public funds for self-promotion during financial year 2021-22, giving reference to findings in the CAG report on its advertising expenditures.
In his letter addressed to the CM, Saxena on Tuesday said, “I am writing to draw your urgent attention to an issue of significant public importance. I am sure that as elected Chief Minister of Delhi, you are conscious of the significance of statutory audit on the functioning of various departments undertaken by the CAG.”
Lieutenant Governor (L-G) VK Saxena on Friday wrote to Chief Minister Atishi over Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports pending tabling in the Delhi Assembly, and called it unfortunate.
The BJP MLAs urged him to ensure that the AAP government presents 12 Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports in the Assembly session, which will kick off on Friday.
The Leader of Opposition said, “The AAP government is sitting on the 12 pending CAG reports to conceal these scams. Despite repeated warnings from the opposition, the CAG office, and the principal accountant general’s office, the government has failed to present the reports in the Assembly.”
Gupta has written a letter to Chief Minister Atishi, seeking convening of a special session of the Assembly to present the 12 pending CAG reports and include a Question Hour, which was not held even once in the 2024 sessions.
Yadav also demanded that the Chief Minister table the pending 11 Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) reports during the session.
