With the induction of new ministers, the Odisha's Council of Ministers now has 22 ministers.
The cabinet expansion is considered politically significant since it will be undertaken keeping in mind the parliamentary elections due in 2024.
Currently, in charge of 16 ministries, Dahal is running the government with the help of five ministers and a minister of state.
