There was tension after the Burdwan University authorities claimed that Rs 1.93cr has been pilfered from its bank accounts, in phases, since 2022.
Dr Sikha Dutta Sengupta, HoD, Botany, Burdwan University , claimed, “Its countdown has begun. It’s now set to die, for sure, within a few months.”
