The Army’s Ladakh-based XIV Corps, also called the Fire and Fury Corps, made a swift effort to secure the region by fencing and sanitizing the mined areas in Phobrang, Yourgo, and Lukung villages. Residents of these villages expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the XIV Corps.
Subsequently, Dulloo visited the villages of Maan, Merak, Urgo, and Tangtse, where he interacted with the residents. He emphasized the priority placed on the vibrant village program by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aiming to provide essential infrastructure in these border villages.
Notably, as a part of the initiative, the youth from Odisha is on a visit to Kibithoo and Tuting villages in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Vibrant Villages Programme is giving youngsters an opportunity to learn about the lifestyle, tribes, folk music and handicrafts of this northeast region and immerse themselves in its local flavours and natural beauty.
The Lt Governor also instructed the officers to be accessible to the general public and elected representatives at grass root level.
