A private school, located just a kilometre away from the blast site in Prashant Vihar area of North West Delhi’s Rohini on Friday received a bomb related threat via email, Delhi Fire Services officials said.
A police spokesperson said that senior police officers, along with bomb disposal teams and dog squads, were dispatched from the divisional headquarters to Phalodi, a district headquarters, located around 140 km from Jodhpur.
A flight to Kishangarh from Lucknow at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here was delayed for over two hours on Saturday due to a bomb threat.
The flight, carrying 174 passengers, including three infants, and seven crew members, landed here at IGI airport at 2 pm as a precautionary measure.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Usha Rangnani said that at around 5 a.m., information was received regarding a paper found in the lavatory of an Indigo flight scheduled to depart for Varanasi, with the word 'bomb@5.30' written on it.
According to the Delhi Fire Services, two calls, including one at the Lady Sri Ram College and another at IP college, were received.
According to the Fire Department, calls regarding the bomb threats were received from Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital in Ashok Vihar, Dada Dev Hospital in Dabri, Hedgewar Hospital and GTB Hospital.
According to the police official, "An email was received on Monday morning at around 3.10 am by the Amity International School, Pushp Vihar with a bomb threat."
The aircraft landed safely at Delhi airport and reportedly nothing suspicious was found after thorough search.
