Union Minister Nityanand Rai on Wednesday said that Cyclone 'Biparjoy' has affected 1.33 lakh hectare area and projected a total economic loss of Rs 1212.50 crore in agriculture and horticulture crops in Gujarat.
Barring Bundi, Tonk, and Banswara, the monsoon has got activated across the state and moderate to heavy rains have been reported from different places.
After cyclone Biparjoy triggered floods in many districts of Rajasthan, the Met department has now sounded orange alert in Sawai Madhopur, Bundi and Tonk and yellow alert in places like Jaipur, Dholpur, Karauli, Bharatpur, Dausa, Kota, Baran, Jhalawad and Sikar.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday visited Barmer, Chauhtan and Sanchore areas to take stock of the situation caused by Biparjoy cyclone.
IMD Director Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that the cyclone has now moved from sea to land and is centred towards Sauarashtra-Kutch.
The cyclone 'Biparjoy' is all set to make a landfall at Saurashtra and Kutch coasts and adjoining Pakistan coasts between Mandvi (Gujarat) and Karachi (Pakistan) near Jakhau Port (Gujarat) by Thursday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The BSF stated in its release that around 50 villagers from Gunao village, close to the Jakhau coast, have been shifted to the Gunao outpost of the BSF.
Director General, IMD, Dr Mrityunjay Mohapatra said extremely heavy rainfall is expected over Devbhoomi Dwarka.
A red alert has been issued for six districts in Saurashtra and Kutch, as these areas are expected to bear the brunt of 'Biparjoy' when it makes landfall on Thursday, after 4.00 pm.
